Sloanes was originally founded by an italian/swiss family in the 80's. Located just outside the Salisbury Cathedral gates Sloanes soon built a great reputation and was home to some exceptional stylists creating on trend hair in such an amazing era. After spending time working with Toni and Guy in Canada and London Ellie was offered the opportunity to buy the business in 2004 when she was working as a stylist at Sloanes.
Soon after, a like minded partnership was born as Ellie's Sister Louise with a business and marketing background joined the team. Their vision was to create an unpretentious space for Stylists to create beautiful, wearable hair shapes and colour in an ethical and cruelty free way and for their Guests to focus on their well being and leave feeling beautiful without a conscience. In essence, beauty is as beauty does.
Whilst having and raising lots of children Ellie and Louise planned and worked hard to create the brand we have today. They proudly opened their second salon in 2011 in Shaftesbury and continued to evolve the business so that they could offer creative people the space and opportunities they needed to expand their skill set, experience a work/life balance that suits them and their families and to feel passionate and proud of what they do. This in turn would result in our Guests experiencing a warm and friendly environemnt when they visit our salons and leave feeling their best.
We strive to constantly move forward and have added yoga and wellness to our offerings as well as our Beauty on demand menu. We offer our Stylists and Guests an unpretentious sanctuary for creativity and well-being in an ethical and cruelty free way.
